The Evening Post Reporter, Richard Youle gives details of the work on the new multi-million pound seafront development in Mumbles. He reports that the Oyster Wharf scheme is set to get underway after Christmas. Workmen have begun to clear out the old Tivoli Amusement centre ahead of the project. It is said that it " is set to inject new life into the village and see one of its key locations get a dramatic new look". The Secretary of State for Wales, Stephen Crabb said "Tourism is becoming an ever more competitive sector but developments like this (Oyster Wharf) will put Mumbles on the map and represent a legacy for future generations". ( I might not agree with that comment as Mumbles is already known worldwide and firmly on the map. Editors comment only).
