Weekly volunteering sessions every Saturday to help build the new Norton Nature Reserve and Community Garden.
All are welcome to join our friendly volunteering group at Norton Nature Reserve and Community Garden. Tasks vary and include planting, vegetation maintenance, building and filling wildlife feeders.
Sessions run every Saturday morning: 10am to 12pm.
Gardening tools are provided. Training and supervision is provided throughout each session by the Council's Environmental Engagement Officer.
The work on this site is on-going, with plans to build raised allotment beds on site for local community groups, plant wildflowers and expand paths.
Please wear a face mask, unless you have an exemption, to make the event more accessible.
Sturdy boots or wellies advised. Alongside clothes you don't mind getting somewhat muddy.
Funding for this project is through the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature scheme, and additionally from a Heritage fund grant from The National Lottery.
If you would like to find out more about this project, please contact our Environmental Engagement Officer Jasmine by emailing jasmine.weedon@mumbles.gov.uk.
