Clerk to Mumbles Community Council 2007 – 2023

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of Steve Heydon, our Clerk. Steve was Clerk to the Council for over 15 years, steering us through many changes and working with dozens of councillors over the years. His knowledge of how Community Councils work was immense, and he made a huge contribution to the life and achievements of the Council.

He was passionate about the benefits that Community Councils can bring to their communities and always had time for anyone who called into the office or spoke to him, however small or large their questions or concerns were. He will be greatly missed, particularly by the staff and councillors past and present, but also by the whole community who knew him and worked with him over the years.

Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
