During half term, Mumbles Community Council hosted a series of fun-filled family events for our wonderful community.
Skateboard Safety Training with Skateboard Academy UK (Monday): Teaming up with Skateboard Academy UK, we organised a skateboard safety training event for 25 young people, funded by the National Lottery. Our goal was to promote responsible skateboarding and ensure everyone's safety.
Family Fun Days Extravaganza (Tuesday-Thursday): Over 3 days, Victoria Hall, Underhill Hub, and Whitestone Primary School were filled with children, parents and carers who were delighted to escape the inclement weather. Activities included bouncy castles, children’s entertainers, mini football sessions, ice cream making, lots of art and craft and a free meal each day!
Special thanks to City and County of Swansea for funding to provide free meals all week and also West Cross Co-op and the Red Community for their collaboration!
Craftathon at Vivian Hall (Friday): Closing the week with a burst of creativity, a Craftathon was held at Vivian Hall and The Woodman in Blackpill, featuring a spray-painting session for teenagers and arts and crafts sessions for children and adults. After a morning of artistic fun, children had a free lunch, and the adults enjoyed afternoon coffee and cake.
Mumbles Community Council would like to thank everyone who participated, contributed, and made this week so much fun!
