We are doing a survey to find out if there is a need for a New Water Sport Centre in Mumbles

We are doing a survey to find out if there is a need for a New Water Sport Centre in Mumbles (Currently the Mumbles Yacht Club). We have a vision of a centre that is inclusive and accessible with spaces for hosting educational and social activities relating to coastal and marine history, science and the environment, as well as water sports and wellbeing activities.   

It is our immediate focus to find out the communities needs and find out how important this could be to you, your friends, families, to your students, community groups and visitors to Mumbles.   

We recently were awarded a grant from Sports Wales to buy new boats for our young sailors which are being used all the time.  We had raise a contribution towards the funding and recently raised just over £10,000 using the Swansea Space Hive Crowd Funding platform. Two young sailors did really well in a recent competition using two of the boats which was on the MYC Facebook page so we are delighted at the impact the new boats are already having.
